（一）哈德斯菲尔德大学简介

　　哈德斯菲尔德大学的原校可追溯到一八四一年，自1992年起正式确立为大学。具有长期开设优质课程、面向职业或求职目标的传统。哈德斯菲尔德学院紧邻哈德斯菲尔德市中心。哈德斯菲尔德城位于英格兰中部著名的西约克郡（West Yorkshire），人口达25万，地处利兹、曼彻斯特以及谢菲尔德三座大学城构成的三角区的中间位置，距离其中每一座大学城均为20英里左右。乘坐火车从这里去往伦敦仅需大约两个小时，乘坐汽车需要大约三个小时。这座城市素以气氛友善、社区关系密切而闻名；学生在这种环境中既能享受生活，学习又能成功。校园毗邻本镇主要的购物场所，校内现代化建筑与十九世纪的交相辉映，哈德斯菲尔德窄运河流经校园。昔日的工厂经改建成为吸引人的高技术教学大楼，它们沿运河矗立。

　　哈德斯菲尔德学院的学习设施之优良堪称首屈一指，并且向所有的外国留学生开放。该学院的大型图书馆与资料区被公认是英国继续教育学院中最好的图书馆之一。校内的其他学习设施包括信息技术、基础技巧、语言、英语、数学与办公室技巧学习中心。校园内建有学院书店、美容美发厅、餐馆、小酒馆、食堂、食品店以及旅行服务中心。

　　哈德斯菲尔德大学鼓励外国留学生充分利用在校学习期间参加社交活动。国际友好协会经常组织举办大量的社交与文娱活动。校园内还成立有许多俱乐部与协会，学生会负责组织各种娱乐活动。
